- How is GPA calculated?
GPA is calculated by multiplying the numeric value of each grade by the number of credits for that course, summing those products, and then dividing by the total number of credits attempted.
- What is the difference between weighted and unweighted GPA?
Unweighted GPA uses a standard scale (usually 4.0) regardless of course difficulty. Weighted GPA assigns higher values to honors or AP classes to reflect increased rigor.
